A sample splitter designed to split samples in half where one half is poured off into another container and the other half is retained in the splitter.
 
The splitter section if constructed from 6mm acrylic sheet, and a 20mm acrylic rod providing a pivot point. The base plate is constructed from 10mm acrylic, with 4 threaded legs and a bullseye style spirit level for levelling the device. 
 
It has a standard sample capacity of 1.25 litres.
